Not trying to argue but that Reuters story is not that must different. Bloke running through traffic acting nuts, puts his hands in his pockets and cops open fire, hitting two women?

To me at least, it seems that the first article is written with a lean that suggests negligence on the part of NYPD, whereas the second one shows more support for the officers' actions. Crucially the second article makes mention of the guy mimicking the drawing of a gun.

As I say, I am not supporting the actions of the NYPD cops, they have a horrible track record (Diallo etc) in this area, just thought it was interesting.
