Because other countries and people matter too yet they get ignored over a few isolated shootings of African Americans. By that I'm in no way suggesting niggas mean nothing to society but they don't mean more or less than any one else. Once again it becomes a race thing and people like Beyonce etc getting political with this black lives matter nonsense.
I feel the same way about Feminism. They're a minority and are getting treated so badly by men that they must protest every two minutes. I don't see it as a gender issue. Men and women everywhere are treated differently for a number of social, cultural and economic reasons not just because what gender you are.

White Americans (especially cops) are just really scared of black people, and for that sole reason perceive them as greater threat and tend to use excessive force.
I read that 25% of people killed by police in the US are black which is still a minority, but given they make up 13% of the population quite high. No one seems arsed about the other 75% though? I'm guessing many might be Mexican..? Media coverage seems disproportionate, however the impunity of the officers committing these crimes is what I find quite harrowing.
