Media in the UK is inherently (at best unconsciously) biased towards employing middle/upper class people from a Russel Group background who have tended to be white.
Also media is notoriously hard to break into without strong financial support from your family (summer intern getting paid nothing…) so people from working class backgrounds, and therefore more likely to be BME, who do get the required education are more likely to go into a career with clearer financial rewards like accounting, graduate schemes etc.after University.

The same reason why Larry Elder isn't allowed back on CNN. Anything other than the black victim narrative is unwanted.
