The Tory mindset is that there is always stuff to cut or privatise, and those cuts or outsourcing don't have a consequence and they can absolve responsibility. At its core it is a rejection of democracy. The obvious reality is that less people to inspect property for safety, less police, less social services, less nurses and the back office to support them actually has an impact on society. There are moderate Muslims, but there is no moderate Islam.
Any of these Muslims (my own family included) who claim it is a religion of peace and have no issues with anyone who isn't a Muslim, etc etc, would not last two minutes in an Islamic state or under Shariah.
