I've ordered something from asia but I've made a typo on the last 3 digits of my postcode.
instead of 5JN, I have typed 6JN and the package has already been shipped.
will this affect me in any way?

Shouldn't do, as the postcode doesn't tell them the exact building, so the courier / Royal Mail needs to look at that part of your address too anyway.

Is it a courier delivery? If you have a tracking number and it's coming with Fedex or DHL you should be able to sort it out over the phone
In the last week I've had a couple of deliveries from Asia. The one that arrived this morning took 4 days (it was a day late). How come Fedex can do that and Royal Mail can't deliver a special delivery item in the UK in four days?

cheers, yea the rest of the address is correct.
they've shipped it using japanpost/ems and I've got a tracking number, so I think it'll be royal mail.

Having a nightmare with 2 parcels, one from the US the other from Australia, both sent to me 2 weeks ago with express shipping. The AusPost hasn't even updated it's tracking once, and the American one says it left the US on the 9th, and no update since.

It's worth contacting them via twitter, saves being put on hold and navigating their menu system. I had my query answered within 4 hours of posting it and they provided information that wasn't available on royalmail.com or usps.com.

DHL are being useless cunts again - had a parcel posted to me yesterday, it arrived at DHL Edinburgh overnight. The status has just updated to:
Delayed due to adverse weather 17/12/10 07:30 EDINBURGH SERVICE CENTRE
We don't have any snow
I'm assuming this means they're prioritising the backlog of parcels from 2 weeks ago. Or they've just given up….

I had the same thing happen today with FedEx, not a drop of snow here and the parcel arrived at the depot on time. They didn't even update the tracking to let me know it wasn't going to be delivered so I only found out when I rang at 4:30 after waiting in all day.

Yeah I've been checking the tracking during the day and the update only happened in the last hour or so. Too late to get to the depot myself and it's closed at the weekend.

Went to post a letter earlier and three post boxes next to each other were all full to the top!
They obviously haven't collected the post for several days.

I sent a load of stuff out that the misses sold on ebay around 10th dec. Now getting a load of messages asking where the stuff is…. RM must be fucked at the mo or because I sent 2nd class recorded they are leaving it till they have shifted the 1st class stuff.
