Depends on the driver, it's just a budget courier company that uses drivers in their private vehicles.

I've used them 10+ times and never had a problem with them.

Have royal mail changed their pricing system/insurance ???
The last few times ive been to the post office the guys really push me to get the more expensive insured to the back teeth postage, and say the £35 normal "signed for" postage will take a few days and you will get the £35 in stamps should it go missing. And the postage for "signed for" seems to be cheaper.
Obviously this could just be the hard sell. But has happened in 3 different post offices now.

Are you talking about Special Delivery versus Recorded Signed For?

Special Delivery is guaranteed next day and has always been much more expensive than Recorded Signed For (£5+).

Recorded Signed For is just 77p plus the cost of your 1st or 2nd class postage. Sending 1st class used to mean it was pretty much guaranteed to get there next day, but they now quote 1 to 2 days and it sometimes takes longer.

ive always sent "signed for"… never used "special delivery"… just seems like its cheaper/they are asking more questions about your items now…just an observation.

definitely pushing it a lot more, always ask about insurance, say it will be much faster etc. 1st class still almost always arrives next day.

In my experience 1st class now arrives next day if you're sending it between big cities/direct routes (e.g. Edinburgh to London often arrives next day) but less so if you're sending to the countryside or out of the way places.

They've been pushing it for a while now, must've just been told to ask whenever someone gets signed for.

There are a lot more clueless people sending expensive Christmas presents at this time of the year, so I think they push it more so stuff arrives safely and on time (obviously there's a financial benefit too). I saw some guy trying to send an ipad to China in a jiffy bag by normal airmail the other day Laughing out loud

Can i bitch about FedEx in here?

Fucking having it on. Say they've tried to deliver twice, left a card once and couldn't get access the 2nd time. I live with my front door on the road.
Lazy fucking delivery man has never been to the house, just can't be fucking bothered. Having it on, utter bullshitter.

Why confused jesus? Having it on as they're lying. I work from home and my brother too, there is always someone here. No chance they came near the house or left a card. (Realised that wasn't clear in op)

No, that video is hilarious!
