And the rest never sent any trainers abroad for less than £12, and that's mainly Europe. Last pair I sent to States was about £23.

What information would you like them to use to retrieve the number?

The date i sent the parcel, the address it went to and from what post office. Surely they've got a database?

The post office here had a renovation last month, thought they were just repainting it but now they've got sofas in, no more queueing because they've implemented the ticketing/numbering system (first in the world?), and also put in self service counters (which is great because no one wants to use it/learn how to use it) . And people still aren't happy because they prefer queuing than waiting for their numbers to be called out. Laughing out loud

No chance, no ticket = ask for a redelivery no other option

Interesting fact I obtained today is that if the item has a customs charge, when it clears customs at the airport it will be sent to the local sorting / delivery office. This is shown on the tracking website.

However they will never actually try to deliver it anymore (seems true for guildford anyway), they just mark on the tracking site "delivery failure" "payment required". In my mind I thought that this meant they tried to deliver but on-one was there or so forth.

Obviously as my deliver address is a registered buisness account, eg postman comes twice per day every day, this was not possible.

So I took a trip down to the postage delivery office to politely enquire about this and they stated that a grey form would get delivered sometime to the office for the item, then I could return and collect the parcel.

As I wanted the item this weekend its a bit of a hassle. Next time I will use UPS or the like so I can pay the charge at the company.

no, the strikes have not been taking place daily only at the most twice a week.

Ahh the joys of Royal Mail. Never had a problem with recorded deliveries before and two in one go are 3 days late. Strike action no doubt, but makes you realise how fucked you are if they go missing.

Where are there royal mail strikes??

I'm wanting to complain about my post mn, i'm sure he only sends our mail when he can be arsed. I've got some dvds from lovefilm that i am expecting from 3 days ago which normally used to get here like clockwork the day after they were sent out, but now cme whenever they feel like it. And also mail just seems to turn up randomly these days.

But if its strike action somewhere in the country maybe there is a reason.
