Runners knot for that extra support FTW

I was always told buy half size bigger as your feet expand during your run. Have I been doing it all wrong?

That's the general consensus yes.

I have quite narrow feet so get away with sizing down I guess.

Nope, it's sound advice.

For those after the Saucony Endorphin Pro, there's the new future blue colourway on Achiles Heel for £156 and sign up to their newsletter for extra 10% off, makes it £136, cheaper than the Endorphin Speed.

What's the sizing like on Hokas?

Am looking at Clifton Edge or Gaviota for tarmac and Stinsons or Challengers for mixed road/trail so also interested in how people got on with them.

Not sure what you currently run in but all my Hokas run same size as adidas Terrex & Saucony.

Put a few hundred miles on my Challenger ATR 6s in Jan & Feb and they were equally at home running on or off-road. May seem a little narrow initially but they soon break in, probably my favourite Hoka runners in terms of comfort.

I put a hundred miles on a pair of Clifton 7s before swapping back to Arahi's, found them a bit all over the place with the uppers never really feeling locked in.

Thanks MrW - sizing advice is helpful, and I can take the Cliftons off the shopping list

thanks for link on the saucony done few weekends in them now about 100k worth, really nice shoe on the road, still hoping i can find something that gives me a bit of both between road bounce and then enough grip/stability on trail as most my routes encounter a bit of both, currently on hoka speed goat which is growing on me again for off road, had some ON but found the ride on them very hard.

There's the upcoming Endorphin Trail from Saucony which I'm looking to pick up for the trails. Yeah I didn't get on with ON either for the same reason. There's also the upcoming Pegasus Trail 3 goretex perhaps. Tried the NB Hierro Goretex as well, really plush ride and Vibram megagrip is top quality.

Decent beater caps for running - although I'm not a fan of the size adjustment 'clasp'
