Just picked up a pair of Peg 38s to try out Lots of Next% on 40-50% off on Nike Sale, fits your budget too Maximus
Cheers for this, thanks to this and a Unidays code from Razorlight I got a pair of Nike Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% for £120.Sub 20 5k in no time
How are you finding them Flasket? Got some last year and they immediately took 90 seconds off my 5K and put me just over 20. Doing 5k a day through Jan and expecting I might just edge under 20 one day soon.

How's it going ?
Sorry mate, just seen this. Completed it and barring a few days was easy enough to get through in the end up. Good feeling going into the NY knowing that your fitness and shape is in a reasonable position.

I'm aiming for sub 20mins this year. At the moment, I could run sub-21, just need to be a bit more disciplined with my training to get there. You'll take time off that in no time.
Yeah I hope to, this time last year I was doing 5k plus on the daily and got down to sub 22. Would love to do one under 20 but reckon I’d need a pretty flat route to even get close.
Sub 21 is impressive, what’s your run routine like?

Got on it again this morning for a 5:30am 5k. Was Baltic out but felt good once I got going. 24.21 which is not near a PB for me but after the amount of food and booze I consumed over the festive period I’ll take that for now. Despite nearly signing up for a marathon a few months ago, actually ended up putting running on the back burner end of last year.
5:30am in this cold! That's impressive

Thanks man. It’s not really by choice though. The only time I can really fit a run in everyday.
Fucking hard dragging myself out of bed this time of year but I do enjoy running in the dark once I’m out.
Gloves and earmuffs are a must though at 5:30am!

).Hey there was some sincerity in it! Let your desire and spirit take you there Think Fläsket was talking about me doing sub-20 (and obv joking about it
Ginner, he's right. I'm still running in 2nd hand hoka bondis. Going through a few different pairs of the 7 right now and like them even better than the 6's.
Smith man, you're getting into Tmmbo territory with that streak of 11 milers!
For 2022 I just hope to continue being able to manage my tendonitis and stay injury free. I had a go at a sub 20 5k last September and came in at 20:03. I'll have another go at it once the spring comes.
This was my setup for a -22C run earlier
The outer top is something magic. Just a light fleece backing but somehow it insulates me enough and blocks out the wind. Have a pair o pants made of the same material, but it's rarely cold enough these days to use them for running.

Wore them for the first time yesterday and they were nice to run in, have to bear in mind I am much heavier than other fukers.
Been running a lot of 5ks over Xmas but very slowly and knocked 10% off my recent times with these, think they would be even better for someone lighter.
Have been running in Nike ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit recently and these felt almost as cushioned but gave a lot more back.
I did notice after 3k my calves started feeling sore which I haven't had before

Anyone doing Marcothon? So far finding it decent, although reckon finding the time towards the end of the month will be the challenge.

Not sure how this'll wash, but could be a new fav for winter after taking it out on a run yesterday.
Top from Uniqlo's new +S thing.
Texture is great, and fit is perfect (TTS)

Great gear
You don't have much work left on that sub 20 minute 5k! Just find a slightly more downhill route next time for the final 1k
Something very satisfying about layering up and hitting the trails when it's freezing. Enjoyed my cold run last night.
I just want snow though! None yet
