Prob due to lack of recovery time - not sure how you can get around this other than maybe doing a morning run one day then evening run next day?
At one point I was doing min 4 miles 5 days a week with 2 rest days (mon and fri) with no niggles at all.

nice mate
Get your trainers sorted, google how to warm up, run/walk 5 mins then warm down. When you can run all 5 mins, up it to 10 mins, then 15. When you can do 20 mins non stop without any problem, look online for half marathon training plans and take it from there, you've got loads of time.
I've had back problems, keeping fit & active is the best thing to stop it coming back.

I've been entered into the great north run and have been accepted. I didn't know until I received the email last week. My pal who is doing it did it, cunt. I'm going to attempt it.
Suffered with bad back pain for months and gained weight. Any decent running tips, plans I should start with? Ill be attempting this from scratch but have until September to prepare. Going to have my run filmed and trainers recommended this weekend. Anything else?

Trying to take on the 365 day challenge (basically a run a day for a year, bare minimum 2 miles per day). My achilles tendon's aching a couple of weeks in, not to the point where I'd stop but it is a real niggle - any suggested remedies?
