£59.99 for the Pagasus in the Wiggle sale - got another few quid off as they price matched Sportshoes online price.

Yeah, had the previous Sennheiser/Adidas model and they were OK. Had a quick test and the sound and fit seems to have improved.

Agree, one of the main reasons I go running is to get outside in the fresh air

Got a pair of those Lunarglide 5's in black, doomed - really comfortable and last surprisingly well.

can't seem to get on with a lunar sole, tried 3 different shoes and they just feel too rigid. Free sole ftw.

Not sure if anyone can help with this.

Basically I can run on the treadmill with no problem at all. When I move to tarmac though I get a lot of pain in my achilles and feet. I'd like to think the achilles pain is just from not being conditioned as the more I stretch and warm up the less it hurts. But I've done two 10km runs last week, the last one being Saturday and since that last run I've not been able to stand on my feet. The pain is where the red mark is on this image (not my feet btw).

I've been using a tennis ball to roll under them but doesn't seem to be doing much. Could it be the shoes? I'm not really using proper running shoes atm, just some old New Balance trainers. Is it worth going for gait analysis? This pain seems to reoccur every time without fail I run on tarmac Sad

Sounds like supination (the opposite of pronation), so it would be worth getting a gait analysis done. I've never run on a treadmill before but I'd imagine they're more cushioned than tarmac, hence why you only have the problem when running on tarmac.

Getting right into the swing of my marathon prep now but shin splints are giving me trouble the first 4ish miles of my runs. Any tips?

16 miles on Saturday were good once my shin pain went away, just over the 2 hour mark.

Finally got 1st place in a strava segment I'd wanted for ages. Destroyed the other geezer's time as well.

Thanks man. Yeah the treadmill takes most of the impact out of running. I can't think of anything worse than spending an hour in the gym jogging though. would much rather be in the fresh air. Going to see about a gait analysis next week so fingers crossed something can be done!

Haven't done much running this year, and have just updated my Garmin firmware to 2.40 (released in October 2013). I've found that the GPS lock on the Forerunner 10 seems to be a lot quicker, having just tested it indoors it does a GPS lock within 5 seconds. In the past this would've taken a couple of minutes.

So for those with GPS lock problems, try updating the firmware.

953km so far this year, almost all hill training, stopped running for distance, aiming for 10k elevation climb a month instead buliding up for mont blanc.

Wasnt sarcastic, I do a max of 1k tarmac a day to get to and from softer grounds, if not in the woods i run on grass or in ditches or whatever to avoid it.

Recommend those Sennns/Adidas for in ears… HERE

Edit - missed the 'she's saying'. CosCo, makes sense to get the Dre's.

As for iPhone/arm straps, they're cheap as. Check out the Amazon reviews and take your pick… HERE
