Also looking for a good pair of light, cushioned trainers, is the Adidas boost series the way to go?

Yeah, I had similar saturday night, but I was pissed and wearing brogues.

Anyone do the Yorkshire one yesterday? I managed 1:47. Had mile splits ranging from 6:57 to 10:15.

Good work mate, was really fucking windy.

Didnt do it this year, as I couldnt motivate myself to train (that and I was out on the piss all day Saturday…) Nice course, but the first half is a long slog up, especially around Knowle Lane and Ringinglow Rd, so just watched it for a bit at Hunters Bar

£45 for a half marathon in Hackney! Do channel 4 know about this?

You could eat out at the cereal café every day for a fortnight for that…

cheers - actually found from hunters bar up to hammer & pincers harder than running up ringinglow road. hathersage road was great with the following wind. apparently there were loads of people already walking before hitting knowle lane Laughing out loud

Proper into my strava segments at the moment, they are like those secret parcels you used to have to collect in Grand Theft Auto.

So I've developed plantar fasciitis (less bad) and got IT band problems due to this on longer runs.

Went to my physio mate and he gave me some stretches but hasn't been enough.

He recommended shoe inserts, anyone have experience with this and should I go custom or is off the shelf good enough?

Any strengthening exercises to help too or am I basically fucked?
