Why is croc so expensive? Anyone know the % markup against leather per sqm or something? I guess its harder to work with and before that stage a cow isnt likely to bite your arm off but that is crazy. Not like they are endangered or un-farmable. Puzzled

Probably costs them around £50 quid more to make than a normal pair.

Tried them on yesterday and thought that. Didn't really look right with the blue heel.

Had to size up a half too.

cheers. Thought so.

In that case I want a boot without a vibram/white sole, not a chelsea, or with brogue detailing. Leaves me with Alden's i think

Size up on Trickers boots Puzzled It's like when Phikz and Robii said they could barely fit into true to size common projects.

Bresone, much depends on which width. The trickers 6 width will normally allow you to size down half or one (I size down one, but have a low instep). Their 5 width is significantly narrower and you will need to go tts or possibly down half -I go down half, but bear in mind I have a low instep.

Best to try them if you can at the price you are paying (or make sure you can easily return)

To be honest, I haven't got much more info on it. Best contacting Grenson if you wanted to get it done. Really good customer service from past experience. Not too sure on Grenson vibrams myself for winter though they feel far too light.
