Hah, I have actually bought a few things, just my camera hasn't been working since Christmas so no pics. Those Common Projects must go back months now, just never seen those non-patents in my size.

I know what you mean about the show closest to the camera, does look pretty big. Perspective mostly i think.

finally got round to picking up my dior boots fitted with a danite sole from c&c yesterday, i've put my suede s/s 08 ones on the left for comparison (note the black suede pair are a half size smaller)

i'm pretty pleased with them, would be happier if they rounded the edges like the original leather sole but i guess once they get a bit of wear they'll be fine. Should be noted the sole profile doesn't appear to look as thick when they're on the ground.

the sole on the s/s 08 pair are what they look like just after wearing them out once for a few hours, looks like the leather soles on these will wear out pretty quick. not sure if getting a dainite sole on my suede pair would suit them though, i think its fine with the leather pair as they'll be used day to day and will get beat up a bit.

so are there any other suggestions? i'm not too keen on adding something that's going to make noise like some of the previous suggestions on this thread.

That look good Yas. Dainite sole will last you long long time. I've worn my Trickers quite a bit for just over a month. No wear on them at all… Also don't slip around Cool

Don't think it's worth putting it on the suede… as I wouldn't dare wear suede boots out in extreme conditions even with protector spray on it.

Can someone explain how a pair of shoes that cost around $10 to make end up retailing for £225

Lanvin take the piss. For some reason I actually get angry when I see their prices. People who buy that stuff have WAY more money than sense. Their jackets/trousers etc. I could have made bespoke for a fraction of the cost.

This is such a flawed argument and could be applied to any 'high-end' brand surely, £220 isn't exactly thousands is it

i didnt want to say it, but i just dont see the point..the other ones still look fine, why change them into 'pods', once they get a hole in the sole bin them and go again. still reckon they would last years without doing that to them. Cry
