Recommendations for tan brogues

Using them to smarten up casual outfits (standard fuk uniform: dark indigo jeans, oxford shirts)

Not sure whether to get standard or commando sole - can anyone comment?

I like:

Loake Otterburn (got a 'Victory' sole which looks a bit Clarks mainline..)

Sanders Salisbury (not sure about commando sole, prefer grain leather)

are there any english (sanders, trickers etc) shoemakers who make women's shoes? gf wants a nice pair of brogues, all the ones i've seen look like they'll fall apart after a couple months. surely you can get goodyear welted shoes for birds that still look relatively slim?

Looking for some boots a bit less clumpy than red wings/trickers for the narrower jeans I own (normally wear converse but they don't keep my feet warm enough even with hype socks).

Thoughts?

is it still size down 1 whole size on Red Wing Moc Toes? most sites say so, mr porter says fit true. (although i generally take their sizing info and measurements with a bucket of salt. 99% of stuff they reckon fits true on there). wanna cop from the RW Amsterdam but can't be arsed needing to return them. cheers.

I sized down 1 and they were too narrow for me, but I have wide feet.
