I'm quite liking the b Cambridge shoe with the squareish toe for work purposes.

I was in store yesterday too and they have a nice looking grey boot with a kind of strap detail round the ankle. Didn't try them on though so they may not be that great.

if you like them, i wouldnt let that suede bother you…think that would bring the shoe up nicely when you sat down and your trews rise up a touch and you just see a little bit of suede. Cool

Browns have some lush Lanvin and Balenciaga in but they £330 and £265 !!! Both very trainer-ish and I need something thats neither trainers nor vims , something I can wear with very wide leg trousers / oxford bags

Just ordered a pair of those from the website.

Got £21 off using an old NUS number too Cool

I've been looking for some nice, fairly formal, black lace-up boots for a while now but haven't been able to find much in my size. Had to go down half a size in these ones so hopefully they'll still fit ok, if not I can always return them. I'll post some pics up if they turn out to be nice enough to keep.

Didn't really expect to be getting more boots so soon. I'd bought my Paul Smith ones with a view to wearing them over most of the winter, but the brown really clashes with black coats.

Will do.

Let me know if you decide to get a pair and need a working NUS number.

I fancy some Dior chelsea boots. Saw a nice pair of pointed Dior boots in Harrods, might get those as I can't be arsed with plimsoles in the rain for another year
