i owned a pair of virgil and the nearest aldens would be a plain toe boots with plantation crepe sole but even then they aren't that close.

I saw them on end and there was one pair I liked. What's the general opinion of diemme? I know they won't be on Alden levels of quality but anyone able to offer an opinion?

I own 3 pairs including the Firenze. Quality and comfort are top notch but remember these are fashion based items rather than workboots or hiking boots. The leather is buttery soft and won't stand up to a lot of wear or dirt. I imagine much like Visvim.

Keep an eye on Yoox if you want a pair. Usually available at half the price.

Also, they fit half a size to a size small. I'm an 8 all day long but take an 8.5 in two of the pairs and 9 in the third. I'd buy multiple sizes if you can get free returns.

Was looking to purchasing a pair of Aldens from Kafka but all their stock is in the E width, which according to Alden is 'wide'.

Anyone have experience with this width and care to comment? Ideally in relation to Trickers..
