Size up and the cobbler sands off the excess.

Need a couple of pairs of Grensons resoled. Grenson charge £95, which is more than I paid for the shoes, how much do the likes of Timpsons charge or would a local cobbler be better? Soles are leather but wouldn't mind going for a Commando sole depending on price.

Any boots similar to the CP Combats? Most boots that come close are so bulky. Might just have to wait with the CPs until I get lucky in a sale.

The Bordeaux colourway is already on sale (@ endclothing). But never seen the black one on sale as they seem to sell out at full price.

Looking for a midtop/chukka suede/leather boot with a sole that works in the Swedish winter - something like this APC one-

Anyone seen something similar?

Why would suede and winter be a problem?

Ermm, perhaps the fact that winter is wet, muddy and snowy? Even if you scotch guard it…

Winter in Sweden is snowy and dry, suede is completely fine.
