Have the low ones as winter beaters, can vouch for them. Great shoes!

Was sold everywhere as ridged sole derbies, copped 2 years ago. Last winter they had these in black suede.

Anyone softened an old pair of crepe soles? Seen people saying very low oven, hairdryer etc

Be careful, I think 100 is the melt point for the adhesives used - too hot too long and your sole will separate from the upper/board.

Never heard of softening crepe soles, is that a thing?

Old unworn crepe soles (got some OL derbies from 2010ish at the sample sale) go rock hard. Guy at the sample sale said a low oven - wouldn't go anywhere near 100! Thinking like 30 degrees

Gas mark 6 for 15 minutes and they turn out really decent. Cook all my shoes on gas mark 6. Nothing worse than tough crepe souls.

True. Length-wise, but they also run a bit wide.
