Just want to give another thumbs up for the Shoe Healer. Some of the best quality repair work I've ever had. Got it resoled and rehealed.

Thanks. They were £110 + about £20 return postage. Very expensive, especially considering they're not based in London. However, the quality of work is superb.
I told him I wanted to have it resoled to maximise the time before sending it back to him, and I wanted a bit more grip without rubber being visible as you look at it from the side. He recommended the rendenbach sole with rubber dots, quarter heel and metal toe cap fitted flush. I actually still need to try them on but I'm very happy with how they look!

Sent off a pair of suede chelsea boots about 4/5 years a go and iirc I requested another leather sole to be added, then commando sole on the bottom. On the phone I asked a lot of questions and they were happy for me to send over images to show the work I wanted. They were so knowledgable and easy to deal with, thus no anxiety either. Was around £80 all in and they're still going strong to this day.
They were worn on one corner of the heels. Obviously that didn't really matter because you can replace them separately.
But they were also wearing close to the welt on the toes. Once it hits the welt it can make it harder to repair properly (apparently). But yea, the rest of the soles were fine. I just thought I just want to send them off now and get them done so I don't need to send them again for a long time. I think the Shoe Healer thought I was crazy…
