Got myself a pair of weavers yesterday, easily the most comfortable pair of shoes i've ever had. Feel like slippers! (no grandad)

Bought some Birkenstock Arizonas for a holiday the other day and the felt that backs the inner side of the leather straps cut the top of my feet to bits.

I might be imagining it but I'm sure that I had a pair years ago that were all leather and didn't have this felt backing. Took a bit of wearing in but were butter after a while.

Can anyone confirm?

EDIT: Looking at the website it seems like full leather ones are still available. I must have gone for some cheapo model.

As you were.

I had some 'lulu's' or toe-taps fitted to my shoes by this bloke - http://www.felixjouanneau.com/ Based in London E2

Found it hard to find a place that did flush fitting, screw in ones. Very nice job, fast turnaround and good bloke. He also makes really nice custom leather boots.

I have these apc calf skin boots but the soles are finished.
I'm in the uk for only a couple weeks, does anyone know if these can actually be resoled, crepe or vibram, and where to do it in london?

It's definitely possible to resole the crepe, it's a bit of a pain getting the old sole off so some places won't be keen to do it - don't be put off if someone says it can't be done and try somewhere else.

Theres a place on Goodge Street that would do it im sure, I can't remember the name sorry
