Can anyone comment on Meermin sizing?

Do they still have a lengthy turn around on orders as well?

Need some virgils resoled and thinking vibram #2021, anyone know where these can be sourced from? Local cobbler says he can replace them if I find the soles…

I’m the opposite. Got some soles and there is no decent cobblers in Manchester.

Timpson fucked a pair of my Viberg’s. Never again.

Don’t ask where i got the soles.
I had to beg an online wholesaler who would only sell me as a one off.

There is some on amazon US I think so maybe ask a fuker to proxy?

Tried this and none of them would give me the time of day.

Ended up getting these repro's from Dr Sole out of Taiwan.

Great to deal with and surprisingly fast delivery. Think they ended up at about 40 sheets including shipping and duty.

Yeah it took some persuasion.
I don’t know why they make it so difficult to buy Vibram soles.

I can’t believe there is only Timpson in Manchester.
Cobblers are a dying breed.

I know there’s that place in London but the weight of my boots and price of the job would be eye watering.

Perhaps try here morgan? http://www.cheshireshoe.co.uk/default.asp

I'm pretty sure they were where an ex-colleague got their walking boots (old ones, and looked GY welted) repaired with a Vibran sole.

Used them a few years back for resoles of Clarks DB with Vibram soles
Great service and the resole was a quality job although boots weren’t the exact fit they were before once the job had been done
I would Reccomend though

I'm a big fan of Sanders shoes and have picked up a number of pairs over the years.

I'm aware that they regularly make pairs for other brands including Oliver Spencer, Thom Browne, Jigsaw and Mark McNairy.

Anyone else? What ebay search terms am I missing?

Picked up a pair of Grenson Marcus desert boots and they were really narrow. Looked like canoes in UK11. Is that a common fit for Grensons? Got so used to sizing down to a UK10/10.5 in Aldens, and even Clarks, thanks to the wider fits so been a while since I've even questioned this.

Probably depends on the last to an extent. I've a pair of Grenson Sids longwings that are fairly wide and a pair of Grenson Toby derbies that are a bit narrower, both are the same size though.

Cheers. Looks like the pair was in a last (207) with an F fitting which I think is the narrower or possibly just standard fit. Looked total clown shoes, which is a shame.

Sanders have made footwear for Hardy Amies in the past. They pop up on eBay occasionally.

They've also made a range for Gloverall:-
