The next pair have to be black as I just bought two brown pairs last month. That's a good deal as well though.

If this isn't allowed let me know and I will take it down. Re-launching my footwear brand (Horatio) online this week and wanted to let the community know…

Mainly loafers & bluchers etc. All goodyear welted. Really good cordovan style leather.

No wholesale so we've kept the prices right down. Northampton quality but under £200

Created a code for 25% off for fukers 'WELCOME'. Makes them about £145 delivered. Any questions let me know…

anyone know of a type of dye which will change the colour of the compound on something like a vibram morflex?

Its EVA rubber foam so a synthetic dye such as Rit synthetic dye should work. Issues are that the material needs to be in a hot boiling bath for around an hour and the dye still might not permeate enough.

Just got a pair of penny loafers from Horatio (as above) and amazing quality for the price. Couldn't justify spending nearly £800 on another pair of Aldens and these are pretty much the same shape and colour (although not cordo). Great service and help with sizing via email. Would recommend.

Meermin oxfords are almost impossible to break in

Not impossible, just a bit harder than usual. If you don't wear the shoes often for full days, don't go Meermin.

Fuk coming through, thanks. I’m undecided between those or something more bulky (not oxfords) that can work with a suit. Any suggestions?

I wore mine for two weeks straight and almost ended up with feet like the elephant man…id say try them before you commit.

Loake are good for the money. Depends how formal you need to be but I’ve been doing tassel loafers for the last year for work and love them.
Meermin loafers much more comfy. If you’re feeling topper, get some Crockett & Jones.

Tassel loafers are an acquired taste with a suit (or rather a formal suit). And that’s coming from a man who almost exclusively wears.. tassel loafers.

That being said, C&J are the best tassel loafers I’ve had (outside of bespoke or MTM). The heel cup has this bizarre way of just gripping to the heel - to the point mine are a bit of a pain in the arse to get on (shoe horn advised) - but once in, if the last fits your foot generally, they’re bang on.

I’ve tried Trickers, Alden, Church’s, Loake and C&J amongst others so I’ve had a fair variety to compare against.

As far as classic oxfords go, for that price bracket, I’d say either Loake or keep your eye on ebay (or maybe Trickers outlet website). You’re bound to find something on those.

Have you ever tried Edward Green Portland or Polperro loafers? They are near impossible to try in the states
