Sure they’ll get called shockers but don’t mind these Suicokes

Anyone seen any decent black desert-esque boots?
Have got Clarks but want something with more quality.

Have seen these but have never tried any shoes by Marsell, plus they're a bit too casual for me.

^ drakes is just a rebranded Astorflex. The Astorflex are nice though I couldn't get on with the toebox, it's wide fitting.

Clarks Made In Italy are quite a step up in quality from standard ones. Nicer shape than Astorflex IMO.

Looking for a hiking boot type o thing. Is there much of a difference between Danner, Diemme and Fracap?

Danner are way above if your actually using them for hiking, can’t beat the quality

Got a pair of the classic Mountain Light Danner but they don't fit me well enough for hiking (which I actually wanted them for) as they are a bit narrow - UK9 if anyone is interested, I can't return them now.

They were the only ones with a full Gore-Tex liner and seemed best build quality, Union made as well. Fracap and Diemme seem very similar, Fracap do custom orders now.

I've got the Danner Mountain lights and a pair of Fracap.
The Fracap look beautiful but they're miles behind the Danners in performance terms.

Yeah I also use Danner Mountain Lights for hiking and Danner Lights in warmer weather.

Had to buy EE width in both pairs as standard were too narrow

Do fancy a pair of Viberg's. I don't wear my Iron Rangers as much as a used to but I feel that a boot could be a good idea, given the constant rain and the fact I predominantly wear suede. Worth the money?

Got a pair of these Solovair hikers (well specifically the MHL collab version but I imagine the quality is the same) 3 years ago, have walked about 6 miles a day in them ever since and they are still going strong with only one resole. Might be something different worth considering. Not done much proper "hiking" in them though.

Nice those, Can Solovair and Dms be re soled? They are Goodyear welted but can you buy the soles?

Infact same question for George Cox creapers too

Answering one of my own questions it looks like the Solovair classics can, very reasonable too

Cheers. Was leaning towards Danner so that's what I'll get.
