Definitely.
Fracaps and Diemmes are fashion shoes primarily.

Got a couple of pairs, can’t fault the quality but definitely try and hold out for a decent discount if you can. Both my pairs are roughout suede and they’re fine in all weather. If possible, go somewhere you can try them on to get sizing right. They can take a lot of wear to break in so not always obvious if the size isn’t spot on.
Cheers for this. Where have you found does good discounts in the past? Not a huge amount if stockists unfortunately.

Rivet & Hide did discounts a while back across all stock, think they've excluded Viberg now though. End has some at 40% off, Superdenim some at 25% off. Great Divide worth keeping an eye on.

I am strangely tempted by the slippers they have on there!
Will keep an eye out. Thanks.

Anyone ventured to the Northampton shoe maker factory stores recently and able to comment on selection/prices? Interested in C&J/Church/Trickers/EG/Cheaney/Sanders etc. Thanks.

if you can't get your foot in they prob don't fit tbh. Rigidity is another thing, mine were painful for the first 10 or so wears, but afterwards the chukkas are the comfiest boot I own. Worn them 2x a week for the past 4-5 years and only now looking to get a resole. leather still looks amazing

Thanks, If I size up I cant see that making much difference too the width?
Options would wear em and try and break them - downer is I can't return em and lose probably 50% of their value to sell them on
Buy a 2nd hand pair of 9s and back these see how they feel
Back em and try some moc toe assuming they are wider

I’m looking to buy some dr.sole cushion sportsman soles for my virgils and not sure on sizing. My boots are a us9 and the overall length is about 305mm
On the site the options are:
8 which is 300mm in length or 10 which is 320mm, both of which are too wide anyway going off their measurements.
Are they supposed to be a direct fit or would they get trimmed down anyway? Literally have no idea what the process is.

They will just sand them down to size after gluing them on so get the bigger one.

I’ve got 2 different pairs of red wings, moc toes and chukkas, and yeah they were a bit stiff to break in etc but they didn’t tear up my feet like most seem to say is the case. You lot need to stop getting weekly pedicures.
