Yea RW chukkas take an age to wear in.

Don't fit that big either half size down at most. I went a full size down on my first pair and they were way too small

i got wide feet and went half size down on my chukkas. after a day of wearing in was fine. have had them 5.5 years with two different resoles now, so comfy.

Moc toes never did that on any of the pairs I have had. Mind you I have never worn them to a dance festival

weird - out of the 3 RWs I own, moc toes took me literal years to break in, followed by the beckman, whereas chukkas were the easiest for me. Moc toes are still one of the weirdest feeling shoe on my feet Laughing out loud

Any recommendations for a good pair of boots for the winter? Probably dark brown or black. Not looking to spend loads.

Thinking Red Wing at the moment.

Best place in East or central London to get a rubber pad and heel clip thing added to a pair of loafers? Not Gucci’s, the new CP ones.

Cleaning up my pretty wrecked RW chukkas for one last winter. If anyone has chukkas in a 7.5 or Moc toes that fit a UK 8 they are getting rid of give me a shout.

Anyone able to enlighten me as to how well beeswax CDBs hold up in the rain?

The leather is oilly so although not waterproof it should hold up ok. Wouldn’t buy crepe soles for rainy day footwear though
