Doc Martens seem weirdly popular with the intern / graduate crew at work. Especially the non-binary / woke types.

These Doucal are decent, FSR at around £100 shipped.

Most likely because they're durable as fuck and they've also started doing a lot of vegan options.
My wife's got solovairs (they make them for toast) and I think the difference in quality is night and day - much much better quality leather and lining on solovairs for the difference in price.

Main diff for me is weight. The Vibergs I’ve handled were built like tanks, whereas the Virgils were a lot lighter. Probably stand the test of time less, but comfortable and easier to wear.

Cheers. Can anyone tell me if Danner boots fit TTS?
Got a pair of Danner Mountain light last week and went a half larger as they don't come with insoles. After putting insole in they're good and have a little room for thicker socks when temp drops. Really comfortable and pretty bomb proof for wet/cold.

On the 650 last I would go with your Brannock size and buy a thin insole like a Superfeet carbon. Don't worry about the label of EE width. If anything, size up half. Had real difficulty in sizing for actual walking.
Best black derbies for around £100? For a mate, convincing him to spend much more just isn't happening

Just posting in here too. What is the quality of Virgil's compared with Viberg? Can get a pair for roughly the same cost, so would be good to know.
