Question for anyone that has purchased Danner Mountain Lights, did yours come with the white heel cup insole? ^ Supposed to be up tomorrow so pounce if you can.
No - and even if they did I would get this instead https://global.danner.com/airthotic-foam.html or an insole from an outdoors shop.
Size up from shoe size .5 or 1.0 for wide feet / thick socks as well imo.

I like the look of the Paraboot, slightly slimmer but the Danner has Goretex lining. Opinions on Danner Mountain Lights vs Paraboot Avoriaz?
I've tried both on and went with the Avoriaz. They're slimmer whereas the MLs were too bulky for what I wanted to wear them with.
The Mountain Light has proper outdoor pedigree compared to the Avoriaz, which is more of a lifestyle shoe. Avoriaz don't have Gore-Tex, but the leather is really thick and but I've worn them in rain and snow and they've been fine. Including in the countryside and walking around ski resorts.
If I wanted some boots for serious hiking, I'd buy something modern and lightweight anyway.
