You should be fine picking one up near the start of the season but they are Bataleons most popular board by quite a distance. I've rode the Evil Twin and it's loadsa fun, you defo won't be dissapointed.

Laughing out loud I've never seen anyone wearing knee pads, crashpants are great though + keep you toasty.

Definitely get wrist guards when learning, The amount of people I've seen break/fuck their wrists and ruin their holiday is rediculous. I'm pretty sure they've saved me a few times too.

deffo reccoment impact shorts when you first start hitting the park, gives added confidence when hitting rails, i came off a biggie with no impact shorts when i was learning and had the biggest bruise for weeks, fucking killed too.

True that, impact shorts are a must for any sort of freestyle especially in the indoor domes where the slope conditions are not forgiving at all, remember to size up on board pants to cater for the padding on the shorts though!

I'd recommend wrist guards also, i use mine everytime i sesh. Typically the one time i forgot to wear them i broke my left wrist coming off backwards from a frontslide on a rail, wasnt even a hard fall but braced it arms out - big mistake Eek

And what the hell do you want knee pads for?! Laughing out loud

The evil twin would be about 100 quid cheeper aswell

Hopefully I'll get on a couple of holidays this year, nothing booked yet though. A few of my mates are doing seasons in Meribel and Tignes so hopefully get to sleep on their floor for a cheap holiday. Can't wait to ride some powder again.
Might get a new board too.
^New Batalleon fun kink is really nice but I might try something new as I've got the 07/08 one. Can anyone recommend another nice fun board good for jibbing but still a good allrounder about 157-8 in size?

Tignes is my favourite resort I've been to. I could ride nothing but the Palafour all week and be happy, amazing run!

Will have a look at the Lib tech. Goliath is a lovely board I tested it before I bought my Fun kink.
