All these extra handling charges, customs and vat additions don’t feel like free trade.

Explain to me what I’m getting with this sovereignty please?

just read that the UK has to deal with every single EU country separately a trade agreement like it was before (without taxes etc.) for private persons. even if you don't have to pay taxes - the handling time will increase by a few days as well

I also don't like the binary polarisation of opinions that has crept into politics (and a lot of other aspects of life) with no space for nuances, but genuine question - what do you think is decent about the deal?

Relative free trade with the EU and increased sovereignty?

How’s that working for us FUKers?
They can’t even get VAT sorted. Just wait until the fine print on that fucked up deal gets worked out.

They had us over a barrel once the lies were swallowed by the gullible Sun reading plebs.

Pals of mine who run businesses in various industries have all said this deal does not provide relative free trade at all. Its just increased paperwork and beurocracy. Increased sovereignty is just bollocks though isn't it? Instead of EU migration and labour the UK will now take in loads of Non EU migrants and workers. At the end of the day a small percentage of people have made millions and billions out of this shit show and us normal folk will over time be poorer for it in various aspects of our lives. The UK is a spent force.

Hopefully we get another referendum sooner rather than later now covid has killed off a large chunk of the Brexit voters.

I genuinely want to know how this deal is good. I’ve been told my sovereignty has been improved, you yourself said it is a good thing, I’d like to know what that means to me? How will my life be improved?

we're days in…let's see how it pans out. similarly, with the potential for greater UE influence if we'd have remained, how MIGHT that have improved your life? as I said, I voted to remain and it's had, I would guess, far bigger consequences on my life than many others on here.

Aye more cod and other fish that we don't even eat. My cousins work in the fishing industry up in Fraserburgh and Peterhead. There's 5 families in the UK who all operate massive pelagic trawlers who are basically in control of the UK fishing industry and buy and sell most of the quotas. They will make a killing but smaller fishing boats will be fucked. Like folk have said btexiters can't give any tangible reasons how it'll improve folks lives.
