These are huge, like 54mm. I looked at buying a pair just after christmas, local shop in Brighton (Bromptons) has them for about £240 I think but they are massive. They only come in this size, whereas the standard 714's come in 52 or 54. I got a pair of 714's, size 52 dark tortoise with havana lenses. IMO they are still a bit on the large size. Main difference between the Mcqueens and the standard 714,s is the folding mechanism. I have to wrap the cleaning cloth around them before putting them in the case as the silver metal pieces rub and can mark. The Mcqueens are of vintage design and fold differently thus avoiding this issue. Overall they are lovely shades and you won't see many other people rocking them unlike raybans etc. I would recommend trying them before buying as they are big, even if you do find a good online deal.
Thanks for the info but the McQueen ones were for a mate and I dont think he is going to cop. They had them in Selfridges Manchester for anyone looking for them. Dont think the blue lenses look right though.
Ordered some 714 folding from UO to try, hopefully they will be the right size for my face.

I got a pair of 649 last year and the quality of the optics is superb. Noticeably superior to anthing else I've got (Ray Ban, Oliver Peoples etc)
Are the Steven McQueen 714 with blue lenses available anywhere still? I assume eBay = fake? Mate of mine wants a pair…

I have never actually tried a pair of Persols on though. Build quality looks great from what I can make out. Are the optics worth the extra moolah?
