The 504s are identical to Lemtosh even down to the silver jewel bit.
Clip on lenses available.

And the 505 looks a lot like an Oliver Peoples model I think

Thanks all. Had considered Moscot but wass hoping to find something that is made in USA, JP or EU for that price. Obviously a classic style so there are lots of options, but the clip-on aspect of the TVR appeals.

I'm pretty sure the acetate is all made in Italy if that will help you sleep at night.

Have a look at the Cubitts Wicklow too:
http://www.cubitts.co.uk/mens/wicklow.html#Dark-TurtleThey have shops at 37 Marshall Street in Soho and 9 Park Street in Borough. You won't get better quality for the money in my opinion. Handmade in China using Italian acetate and high-quality components. The antithesis of Luxottica.
They do clip-ons too but only for the Ampton model at the moment I think.

Thanks Andy. Are Anglo American Optical any good? Seem to be made in London and do a model which the TVR above might be based on.

Yeah, they're good quality and still made in London I think.

Ta. Have sent them an email, they seem a bit of an odd company who make them here but primarily for the US market and dont have much of a retail website.

Let us know what they say, would be interested.

Anglo American have a long history, they used to be a much bigger deal than they are now. Their heyday was in the '70s and '80s when, I think, there were two brothers involved - one here and one in the USA. I believe it was bought by someone else (American) later on but they kept on doing what the company was known for (i.e. making in England).
