Can Strike Gold be bought anywhere bar Selfedge?

Very pleased with the 3 Merz B sweaters I have but would like something real heavy.

Not sure. Got mine from them a couple of years back. Contact them to see they still mark down….they used to.

The John Elliott loopback sweatshirt I have has been great. Washes well and isn’t the cropped style fit of said Mccoys.

I'd still say Loopwheeler is the best one I have. Better length in the body. Fil Melange is great but is typical 50s style shirt fit.

Amazon JP only I think. I got lucky and got an XL on ebay for 50 quid a few years ago. Never lost its shape and still feels pretty soft.

I felt the ball park sweats fitted pretty good.

What about reigning champ?

Conversation compelled me to do this. Not sure its the most scientific but may be useful. Few old classified pieces from here still going strong. Cool

Top to bottom as labelled:
Fil Melange - Size 5
Real McCoys - Size Large
Merz B Schwanen - Size 6
45r - Size 3
Loopwheeler - Size XL
Kapital - Size 4

Fil Melange looks like a good fit for me, any UK stockists? Had a quick look but haven’t managed to find much

Open as Usual was the last shop to stock it, but I don't think anyone does anymore. I would say proxy or Rakuten Global Market is your best bet.

For reference I am 6,2. The reason I was asking about shorter tees than the Arket ones before was because I have three FM Sweats/Hoodies and they all come up short against tees. The arms are fine though and the quality is superb. Probably the best to wear out of them all, despite my comment before about the LW.

Just posting for potential interest

Stumbled across these, a new venture from Noverre/Superdenim by the looks of the site:

https://www.blankexpression.co/

Made in Canada £80 ish. Looks a bit like Reigning champ with the side panels which I'm not a fan of.

And these are good for the money but returned mine as found the arms a bit slim - £60 (sale) made in Japan and cool 'S' Raglan shoulder / sleeve

I really want to support Community Clothing - £40 made in UK, bit lighter wight. Probably go for one of these.

really weird tight neck and not a great fit i thought.

i got a colourful standard one which i backed, light and baggy fit.

got a reigning champ which fits perfectly and is probably the best ive had. would like to try mccoys but hate that short vintage length.

Good to know, i've wondered what those were like, hate tight necks.

Those Blank Expression look good for the money, if they are on par with RC quality wise, come at almost half price.

Not heard good things about Colourful Standard too, curious to try\hear something about Entireworld, made by the same guy who run Band of Outsiders

colourful standard are £45 so kinda get what you pay for. the cotton is nice and feels durable, and for some body types, probably fits well, just didnt suit me.

good measure definitely very round, tight, high neck.

merz b are good, been pleased with any of those ive had, but reigning champ are the best ive found.
