both his english mates bottled out after a couple of days of starting it with him (one of them was even a shaolin monk, how tough are they?).
And his guide whos lived in the amazon all his life collapsed of dehydration and exhaustion, our man didnt even have a bad day, didnt even whinge when he cut his hand to the tendons and caught the flesh eating disasese.

agree with the comments about walking the amazon. i love stuff like that. reminded me i must watch 'wings of hope' again soon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wings_of_Hope). proper interesting stuff. recommended if you enjoyed walking the amazon.

Watched the amazon guy last night. Best bit was his mate squeezing that flesh-eating parasite out of his head. Sick and epic at the same time.
Dunno how he slept a wink with all those caiman's near that lake about one night. Thought there could have been more footage though, showing how he slept, him awake at night with all the forest noises going on. But I guess he is such a hard bastard he just slept like a baby.
Oh and didn't he lose a tooth half way through and there was no mention of it in his filming?
