Where is a place in London where I can get a small, simple tattoo done, without paying Family Business prices, but I still want it done well and safely. Also are the rumours that it is illegal to have a tattoo on your wrist true ?

Menace are you serious? Why would it even be slightly illegal to get a tattoo on your wrist (one of the most common places)? If you don't wanton pay the prices/ have the mega high quality of work done, go to Kids Love Ink, really quality guys and haven't quite made it on the 'scene' yet.

@ Wrist thing, I dunno I've just heard quite a few people say that, urban myth type ting I guess. I thought it would be because your veins are closer to the surface on your wrist.
And about the place I would get it done, when I get a proper, intricate tattoo I will go to Family Business, but what I want is essentially an outline of a pretty simple shape, so I don't really want to splash out an unnecessary amount of money and wait a while to get something most tattoo artists could do, so I'm looking for a mid level, respectable place, just not top of the range

@Menace I could see where you're coming from - girl I work with had something go a bit wrong and now the ink in her tattoo (on her wrist) is running, the tattoo shop are paying for removal though.. My idea of tattoos - it's there for life you might as well spend as much as you can..

Gawkrodger - They're all sound guys and need to become big players like Frith Street and Family Business etc. I'm almost glad they're a little more 'underground' though, means they get people going there for their work opposed to just for their name!
