Wow. Lucky man. Tattoo collective week? Truman?

Ouch as always but I see the logic of consecutive days, but if anyone can do it.

Expecting something special from him. Great choice.

I have been tattooed two days on the trot before but on different body parts did about 3.5 on the thigh then similar on the ribs the following day. I hope he does top then bottom or vise versa can't imagine doing the same area a day later it will be tender as fuck

Not at tattoo collective no, I think that's only Britain based tattooers

Did 6 hours on my leg over the summer, went into a light shock after and had flu like symptoms, was hanging. Properly fucked me up for a few days, sitting through the pain isn't the problem it's how it fucks your body the days after. Be careful!

Why do you feel fucked after?

Withdrawal from adrenanile/pain hormones or something?

I've spoke to a few people who feel down or depressed after, I suppose it's a combination of adrenaline pain excitement and then having what's essentialy a large open wound takes its toll.
Personally I put it down to the large amount codine I consume before and the excessive amount of alcohol after Laughing out loud

I've done 5 hours on my knees in one sitting, it hurt like mad but didn't feel rough afterwards.
I find that taking a 10 minute break halfway just to have a quick sandwich helps.
I do feel weak after a session but again, a good meal usually sorts me out.

What does everyone use for the healing period?
Heard and tried so many different things from different artists and now I don't bother using anything.

It's all nonce sense. As long as you don't let it scab and pick it it'll be fine. I've dry healed one Valerie Vargas tattoo and healed another one by her conventionally and there's no difference between them at all.

Last few tattoos I got on my legs they told me to keep them wrapped with cling film for 5days. Just gives you sweat rash and makes it worse in my opinion. All about the bepanthen imo.

My last one from Ryan Evans - as soon as I got home (live 20mins walk from studio) was told to wash it, then bepanthen it twice a day for a week or so. No clingfilm or covering - zero scabs or mess apart from the initial wash. Some people rate that hustle butter

I've always had the dermalize stuff put on immediately after and left on for 24 hours. That allows it to breath unlike cling film which seems to sweat it and cause a rash. Then washed once a day and used palmers cocoa butter rather than bepanthen

All I do is wash it with Dr Bronners magic soap, which is a pure soap, no moisturisers and if it gets too itchi a tiny bit of e45 or coca butter

Ditto. Dry the wound out. Less is more. Air the wound.

Got told the other day not to use bepanthen due to the increase in lanolin in the formula, cocoa butter seems nicer anyway. Only leavign the dressing on a couple of hours definitely helped.

I was told that you should only use bepanthon on knee and elbow ditches and only for the first couple of days, it's a barrier cream, you should let your tattoo breath, I also read somewhere that it contains an ingredient that fades the colour in tattoos.

Saying that those clear military bandages are suposed to be good, the tattooer will put it on then you leave it on as long as possible usually a week or so, the two times I've used them I've had to peal them off after the first night as they where awkward places and edge had pealed away leaving a small part of the tattoo exposed

I had one of those bandages when I got my thigh done in Sweden, sat down to eat after the tattoo and it split soaking the shorts I was wearing

I stopped using bepanthen years ago, I use rensow vitamin A&D ointment now can get a box of it for pretty cheap got given it at sacred electric last time I went

Just looked at my tube of extra sensitive bepanthen and it actually doesn't have any paraffin, lanolin or anything in it, must just be the regular stuff that's full of junk.
