Just a heads up for whoever was asking about tattoo numbing stuff, Dr. Numb before and Vasocaine during (which can be re-applied every hour so hopefully wont dip back to agony), I got the vasocaine on ebay for £50 a bottle, and the three tattoo artists I wrote to about using it said they had completely no problem.

Vasocain does nothing after using a numbing cream.

If I where you I would give the numbing cream a miss take some codine and start using the vasocain after a few hours.
If you use the cream 5 hours out of your nine will be unbearable. Honestly your better off without it.

Codeine is always a good shout, regardless of the situation.

Agreed, game changer. Friend used co-codamol before his back piece, breezed it.

I’ve never considered using anything but have only tattooed my shoulders, moobs on chest and arms so far.

When I can afford I’d like to start back and ribs, that might change my mind.

Anyone had their achilles area done? Got a symmetrical design planned; how's the pain down there?

I have a full leg sleeve (look back a couple of pages) that comes down to my ankle Achilles, that area on the back was fine.

No leave it as long as you can before you apply the vasocaine. who are you getting tattooed by? chances are the tattooer may already use it and they will know when its needed.

Spider sinclair - https://www.instagram.com/spidersinclaire/?hl=en, for 9 hours… dreading it, also flying stateside 11 hours the day after so I will more then likely die from tattoo flu / being so run down I turn to dust. I'm going to try my best at going as long as possible then just apply the vasocaine by the hour, and hope for the best. Will try find some codeine too but I doubt I'll be able to.

just buy some cocodamol and nurofen plus you can take paracetamol and ibuprofen together so you should get enough codine out of those two to see you through. just have 2 or 3 of each before you start and some more later on

Don’t have Instagram and looking for an artist who can do something very similar to this, possibly old school-esque/Vegas style.

Any recommendations around the London area or anywhere else? Don’t mind travelling either.

Also want a decent and simple sugar skull done, another recommendation for that as well please!

THIS one came up on my Insta recently (dunno how to post Insta pics on here). Paul Scarrot is based in Cheltenham though - I'm sure you'll find someone a bit more local to you.

Furci looks like a top option, does old school but with a bit more detail which is what I reckon I’m after.
