Looks really nice but £640 Japanese retail (plus tax) is laughable.

Where should I be looking for alternatives to veilance, with a similar aesthetic? Can look a bit techier, just not full goth ninja does Ben Nevis. Up to similar cost of veilance is fine.

After some trousers primarily, with an element of protection against rain (doesn’t have to be fully waterproof), but also looking for a mid-thigh length fully waterproof shell/lightly insulated coat.

Im looking for some pants the same as you. I'm waiting for byborre to come out with the pair that I'm willing to spend the money on and looks good.

I looked into those brands that were listed as well, over the past few months, and descente & goldwin come close to what Im looking for but aint what Im looking for style wise.

I mostly want brands that nobody else is wearing, which is why I went with byborre

Good place to go, as there are a lot of techwear heads on here. May be able to help.

I can second Tilak Poutnik, but I definitely prefer veilance stuff, hence a recent sale on my poutnik trousers. You'd be after the Monk pants for dwr, the Knight ones have very minimal.

Has any one had much experience with Snow Peak outerwear? Just looking at the Ripstop Down Jacket and wondered if any one's had anything similar from them.

I had the FR down pullover from a few seasons ago and it was a great jacket. Nice little details and very functional - only problem was, it was rarely cold enough to wear it in the UK. Especially with it being a smock style jacket.
I’ve been eying up the Ripstop Parka from them myself over last few days
