I need to reapply the dwr treatment on my veilance.
the site recommends grangers, they have a few out, I assume it's this one?

Tried it on and went tts with a lightweight sweatshirt under it.
Also tried the Composite and could go TTS there as well, so i'd say sizing is a bit more regular than previous seasons imo.

Both very very nice jackets

it's quite old that interview… i'm not sure those guys should be accused of bandwagon jumping… they're doing some pretty interesting and original stuff with fabrics / textiles (particularly when they collaborate, I'm yet to be convinced by their mainline clothing).

having said that, some experiments don't need to be shared.

I don’t know much about this stuff but saw this recently - thought it was just some shadow project copy gimmick stuff but seems like it has some thought behind

https://www.vollebak.com/product/graphene-jacket-1/

‘The graphene side conducts heat and warms you up

Graphene conducts heat better than any material on Earth. So when you’re wearing the jacket with the graphene side next to your body in cold weather it helps equalise your skin temperature by sending heat from the hot bits of your body like your head, to the cold bits like your hands. It’s the first wave of conductive fabrics that will carry heat or electricity around your body but without any power source. Lab tests have shown that the closer to your body the material is, the more effective it will be at regulating your skin temperature and increasing it by an average of 2°C.’

Really fancy a some goretex with either a detachable or stowaway hood but it is nigh on impossible to find. Particuarly fancy Arcteryx in a lairy colour but looks like they only sometimes spin off a more classic jacket with them (Theta in 2014 etc)

Tempted to get a Beta AR and get a tailor to take the hood off for me, anyone tried that? Dont want to take one stitch out and the whole thing falls apart.

Only comes in black and navy though. Bit 'commuter' in those colours imo
