Anything below 100£ is usually shit when it comes to grinders. Best 'affordable' electric grinder is the Baratza Encore, about €140,- (£125).

I've had the Wilfa for about a year. It's great, really highly recommended.

Any alternatives to the Pact advent calendar? £40 feels fairly steep for 25 coffees.

Has some this year in Japan, and it was great and brought some beans back used them up a while ago.

I've been experiencing increased caffeine sensitivity over the last few years. Racing heart, inability to focus and general anxiety after a single cup.

Anyone have any experience with low-caffeine varieties or decaf blends?

^had it for years. Actually had it today after a Nero, but I never seem to learn. Find that particularly stronger independent coffees are the worst, particularly if on an empty stomach, can wipe me out for the rest of the afternoon. Found that in general switching to decaf has helped, and it's to do with the oesophageal sphinkter which I've had a problem with since 2011 and in turn having a general increase in acid reflux

Laughing out loud Honestly, the Royal Mail's purest packet doesn't affect me like a double espresso does.

If I have a coffee after 2pm I won't be able to sleep until after midnight.

Are there any decent smaller grinders? The ones recommended above are way too big for me to have out on the side all the time.

Would also be keen to know this. Rarely drunk caffeinate coffee over the past year since having anxiety issues. Cut down on alcohol too due to the meds being taken but would like to find an alternative to drinking nescafe gold blend decaf that has a bit more punch! Laughing out loud

The electric grinders are usually pretty big tbh. This one from Niche seems a little smaller, looks decent too to have out on the side

Or something really small like this Krups one. Although it is a blade and not burr, there are no settings so the longer you leave it on the finer the coffee.
