went for carl cox the other week. theyve made a nice job of the place but not too sure about the layout of the venue, pretty mixed crowd in there as well, mostly essex. good night though. i dont know if theyve sorted it out since then, but it was a right cunt trying to get a cab from there. the q was massive and there was one taxi coming about every 15 minutes.
i know matter is run by the same people as fabric and that, but the bodysonic dancefloor has been around for a while.
not to say that it isn't a good thing, though

Known as a "Bodysonic" dancefloor, sections of the floors are attached to 400 bass transducers emitting bass frequencies of the music being played, allowing clubbers to feel the music through bass frequencies transmitted into their bodies via their feet. The sound system has attracted much praise from international DJs. Some, like Chilean minimal superstar Ricardo Villalobos have even gone so far as to claim that parts of their work have been inspired by the rich soundscapes at Fabric parties.

Eelectricity was one of the best nights i've ever been to and thats saying something! The atmosphere was one of the best i've witnessed and me and mates didn't move from the same spot for 7 hours just raving it up. Fake Blood tore it up, Annie Mac then equalled it if not bettered. Never been a fan of SMD live… Because of a time two years back at Cream Amnesia they came on after Annie Mac and Touche (Fake Blood) and killed the place dead. It was only because i was right on one that i managed to stay through the set. Utah Saints were worth a few shapes at the end too! All in all a top night, did you head up concrete for the after party? I got pulled to subway (very reluctantly) and stayed all of about half hour. Still, a top night.
Was pretty good, Duke D was ace, Mujava threw a wobbler becuase he didn't know how to use the Pioneer 1000's My mate DJ'd as well before Duke under the name James Ark, and he was telling us how Mujava is from some African slums and has only played in shitty clubs before and used second-rate equipment. His track Township Funk is brilliant though:
Todd Terje was…..interesting! He was putting some plastic bowl things over the vinyl-label so he couldn't see what he was playing Was quite weird but he managed a pretty decent set.
