gerd janson smacked it anyway, as expected. now can't wait for warm next weekend.

did you go to warm last night ? special is not the word, horse meat disco's james hillard & luke howard were something else, the only thing that made me cringe was an eastern european looking fella wearing a rather colourful aztec style mini tommy cooper hat that I can only best describe him of as a gay jew

yeah HMD ripped it up last night, that jackin, thumping disco sound was something special. i caught about an hour of their set. only the second time i seen HMD play (first time was room 3 at fabric about 6 months ago). they were brilliant both times.

them and mark e were definitely the highlights for me. the main room was totally meh.

i didnt see the aztec hat but there were quite a few interesting looks on display. some girl in a black face mask, plenty of romper suits, tiny cycling hats etc.

she was stood by me for a good chunk of the night off her tits on mud, the black face mask didnt really make a mark did it, my mucka from leyton took her mate home and she spent the majority of the rest of the night throwing up where she was obviously punching above her weight with the gear, what a waste.
I'm sure it was the revenge who kicked off the main room and for the first 2 hours it was pretty good but we parked up in room 2 at 1230 as it was what we went for and it didnt disappoint, I hazed around at 630 and realised there was literally nobody left in the room, and it was as much a pleasure for filthy luka to play records for me on my own as it was for him to play for the 2-300 he started with, right at the end he played sunday girl - self control azari & lll edit and leaned over the decks and applauded me for staying, come and gave me a hug and said thanks for stopping, great night mate i'm just glad I was there to witness it, you can go to great parties and venues week in week out but every now and then you get one thats worth its weight in gold, this being a prime example, from 2-6:55 in room 2 every record was sublime

Laughing out loud i missed out when this also became a three letter acronym

man 6.30am, i bailed at around 5am. a pity that the revenge played the early and late sets in room 1 cause i woulda liked to see more of him.

was such a mission getting back to civilisation from elephant and castle. first time in corsica. the soundsystem is pretty decent in there and the smoking area was quite civilised. (no csb)

For those who miss Red Bull's Clash here it is, the night was Sick!

http://www.xlr8r.com/news/2010/10/listen-red-bulls-culture-clash-g?ref=nf

Red Bull Music Academy has given us an exclusive stream of their recent Culture Clash contest at London's Roundhouse between Goldie and his Metalheadz crew, Soul Jazz Soundsystem with Oxman, Skream, Benga, Joker, and more. Take some extremely bass-heavy tracks, some reggae/dub classics, and throw in rewinds, some colorful MCing, and some good ol' competitive spirit and you pretty much get the idea. Spoiler alert! The crowd spoke and Channel One took the prize at the end of the night. If you feel brave enough to yell out a few "Boohs" and "Eeermenows," then by all means take a listen to the stream from Red Bull Music Academy Radio and judge for yourself who should have been the champion of the Entertainment Round of Culture Clash.

Any Birmingham fukers got any recommendations for this weekend? I'm down there with the gf, best mate and his bird. I'm clueless, never been before. Decent bars, places and club nights would be good. Nothing too underground as we have the ladies in tow.

Was this at 'The Alibi'? with Girl Unit and Jay Weed? I was there, it was good!

Trent, just head to The Arcadian Decent enough choice of bars and then maybe onto Bambuu which is just across the road. All girl friendly house sort of places. For the ultimate in posing you could try Bushwackers aswell.

Cheers Cov. I'm not sure I can manage 'steriod and sunbed' bars like that over two nights though. Got anything else abit more of the track? Decent house nights, indie etc?
