Acne - fit true to size

APC New Standards -size down 2 or even 3 from true waist size

APC New Cures - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

April 77 - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

Dior raw 19s and 21s - have vanity sizing and are labelled as two sizes smaller than actual size

Edwin Nashvilles - size down 1" - quite a different fit to most jeans out there though (massive rise, loose at thigh and comparitively tapered at the leg).

Julian Red - fit small, so maybe true to size on raw and possibly size up on non raws

Nudies - size down 1 or 2

Raf by Raf - true

Ring - true

Turn them inside out and wash them on a standard 40 degree wash

Use a non bleach detergent like Ecover to minimise indigo loss .
Personally, I hand wash mine and then spin the water out in the machine. Then hang dry.

I put them in the washer on delicate wash with Dr Bronners or a non-bleach detergent. Then hang dry.

Does sanforised raw denim still stretch a decent amount with wear or not?
Bought the LVC 1967 505's and they are a tad snug.
If they do stretch before first wash would they shrink back if sanforised?
Also if im trying to stretch them a little and maintain the stretch should I soak now or not?
thanks

They will definitely stretch out. Usually a good inch and that comes after just a few wears.
No need to soak sanforized denim. Just wear it and enjoy.
When you decide to wash they will shrink a little in the waist but soon stretch back out.

Thanks guys
currently they cut the circulation off to my lower half but are comfy and loose in the legs and thighs so I think I will wear them in

13" thigh is big, going down to that leg opening is crazy taper.

Edwin ed55 in a 32w has 34 waist and 7" hem with a 10" thigh. I've got some hardly worn I got off here that are too big after I lost weight. PM me if interested. £35 shipped.

If you need a 13" thigh to fit cyclist thighs into em you'd be better off buying some and getting them tapered, I think. Perhaps samurai 710's? Can't remember thigh measurements but bigger than ed55's though leg opening is slightly bigger too (also got some of them for sale)…

Since I got my IH 555 I have realised just how important it is (for me) to not have jeans altered. Just keep looking if they aren't what you are after.

Each to their own, but I have never truly been happy with a pair of jeans once they have been butchered.

True, very rarely been happy with a pair that has had more than a hem job.

You can only alter solid colour/raw denim, anything with a wash gets ruined once tapered.

Dunno about getting them altered either, just getting a bit annoying got a pair of apc ns in a 34" that are a good fit but a bit loose at the hem and got a pair in 33" which are okay at the hem but a bit tight in the thigh Roll Eyes

Just been on the IH website and the 555s seem pretty good, 12.5" thigh and a 7.8" hem. Noticed they're 18oz though is there alot of stretch in the denim?

I have the 555-01 mate, so the 21oz. If you check the forum (each product in the shop has a link to the appropriate thread) then you will find the answers.

Great jeans though, mine will keep me happy for years - and I know some people rate the 18oz over the 21oz.

The 18oz on the 666 is amazing - my favourite jeans. Next up ill cop the 555. Stretch on the 666 is a fair bit.

Next pay day gonna get the black denim shirt or johnny cash!
