———————————————————————————-

Acne - fit true to size

APC New Standards -size down 2 or even 3 from true waist size

APC New Cures - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

April 77 - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

Dior raw 19s and 21s - have vanity sizing and are labelled as two sizes smaller than actual size

Edwin Nashvilles - size down 1" - quite a different fit to most jeans out there though (massive rise, loose at thigh and comparitively tapered at the leg).

Julian Red - fit small, so maybe true to size on raw and possibly size up on non raws

Nudies - size down 1 or 2

Raf by Raf - true

Ring - true

Thoughts on Iron Heart vs Flat Head? Never had either and can't decide between two similarly fitting styles.

Those gap jeans look decent for 45.

Honestly you'd be splitting hairs between any of the Japanese brands, take a look a some fade pics after a couple of years of wear and see which you like the best.

Can vouch for FH, really dark inky blue colour, slubby texture with great streaks that come through with wear, need a fair bit of wear but fade beautifully IMO.

I've got 2 similar fitting styles (IH / FH], and my vote is IH. My FH feel so thin in comparison to the 18oz.

18oz is nice but completely unwearable in the summer, I can only imagine how stupid the 25oz denim is.

That was kinda my worry and it was 18oz IH that I was looking at. I have a pair of Sugar Canes (heavier than my APC, Edwin etc) and I only really wear them in winter. Looking for something I can wear all year round.

these are the FH's I've got (mine came without arcs tho), and there's a useful slideshow of how they fade at the bottom:

it's silly hot.

But 18oz is easily wearable all year. You get used to it. Plus if it's really hot wear shorts

SC and FH are the same weight, .jp denims don't really get any lighter than 14.5oz for the most part.

Any experience tapering denim with a high-mid rise (LVC '67 505s), does it work well?

Just on LVC 67 505s, what's the fit like and true to size?

When washed, it will shrink to 33" at least tho…

TTS on the Raws Ulster, don't think they stretch much either. Fit is mid-rise, and very straight, not much of a taper below the knee.

Seb on here has a pair that he's worn in and look great.

^^ This. IH's flagship 21oz is remarably breathable, I managed to wear them in much warmer weather than I expected. And yeah if it's actually hot then it's shorts all day regardless of the weight of a square cut yard of your Japanese denim in it's raw state.

Worrying about your jeans in the summer weather is like worrying about your winter parka as well. You just dont wear either. Amazes me that so so many fukers dont know the difference between winter and summer wear.

Except in the UK we have about 1 month of parka weather, 1 month of shorts weather and 10 months of windbreaker-and-jeans weather, it's no surprise we aren't very good with seasonal wear.

I guess I'm just more heat intolerant than some as I only pulled my 18ozs back out about a month ago.

Looking for a black pair of raws 7.5-8 ankle opening and a slim-ish fit. Similar to the New Standard but slightly straighter.

Darker the better and max £150, Any recommendations? Acne max new cash selvedge?

Tried those slim selvedge gap denim, they're alright for the money, the washed pair were shite though, horrible wash on em. Didn't cop any but may go back for the raws for until I eventually get round to buying a baller jap pair.
