Acne - fit true to size

APC New Standards -size down 2 or even 3 from true waist size

APC New Cures - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

April 77 - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

Dior raw 19s and 21s - have vanity sizing and are labelled as two sizes smaller than actual size

Edwin Nashvilles - size down 1" - quite a different fit to most jeans out there though (massive rise, loose at thigh and comparitively tapered at the leg).

Julian Red - fit small, so maybe true to size on raw and possibly size up on non raws

Nudies - size down 1 or 2

Raf by Raf - true

Ring - true

Couple of questions….

How much will the waist on the gap dry denim selvege stretch out?

If I wash some MII diors (not dry denim) at 60 deg how much shrinkage can I expect and will that be permanent or go back to original size through wear?

Cheers

Hi guys, just wondering how I might go about buying a pair of Eternal 811's?

I"m in Ireland so obviously zero chance of buying them here. Thought their might be an online UK site that may have them but the only sites I've come come across have dollar signs and prices which mean ordering from the US with all the extra shipping + duty etc.

Has anyone here bought a pair recently , just wondering where?

Cheers.

Afaik there aren't any UK stockists – which is no great loss tbh as all of the UK stores that do sell Japanese denim charge an astronomical mark-up (see Rivet and Hide, Son of a Stag etc)

If you're after a new pair then you only really have two choices: US or Japan.

Blue in Green Soho have a full size run and will mark down for customs, so there won't be any extra import duty fees to pay.

You could also get them proxied from Japan (rakuten, denimio.com etc), which would work out cheaper but will be a bit more hassle.

They also occasionally crop up on Superfuture classifieds so it might be worth doing a 'want to buy' post there.

Don't think you’ll have much luck on here as I couldn't even give away the pair I was selling – think they went for about £40 in the end…

Tried the cos tapered ones, don't rate them, uniqlo skinny tapered similar fit for half the money and if you go to the oxford street store (towards tcr), they have a slightly thicker black pair as oppose to the powder soft pair.

I'm a raw denim fanatic and have been wearing it almost exclusively for over 5 years. In the past I have owned Levi 501 STF, APC NS x 2, Levi LVC 501 1947 and most recently I purchased a pair of Flathead 3001s 10 month ago. This was the most I'd ever spent on a pair of denim and I was expecting a lot, the fit was great and I loved them. I've been wearing them almost daily since I purchased them but recently they've started to deteriorate and really are falling apart. I'm gutted how little time they've lasted after paying so much money. I'm not so bothered about small holes in the denim because I know that this is normal - I'm mostly annoyed about the stitching breaking so easily.

I feel that I've fallen out of love with raw denim and i'm sick of them getting wrecked after a few months. However, I still love the look of very dark raw denim. Does anyone have any suggestions of really dark wash non-raw denim? I feel that they will last longer than raw denim because they are not as stiff and holes will not appear as easily?

i have 2 pairs of flatheads and they've both lasted really well & are my fave denims. compared to your other jeans i think the fh's have 100% cotton thread rather than poly or poly/cotton. this is more 'vintage' but not as durable so you have to get the odd repair to the stitching, i don't mind that and feel like it adds to the vibe of having raws. if that's not your thing then best stick to APC/LVC or check what thread is used in construction. you can get one rinse jeans that are a bit softer and less rigid/starchy…
