After some black jeans…thinking of Acne Max Cash.
How do these wear/wash? Do they fade?
I'm looking for something that's gonna stay black.

Look awful on that model. Got two pairs of black max cash, fit well, but do fade as joe said. Haven't worn them hard, but washed a few times, drycleaning would preserve blackness.

Acne are a waste of money at full price. If on a budget get a version of the COS black denim in either skinny or slim straight, much better value.

Yeah, didn't pay full price for the pairs I got, should have added that. Still decent though.

My Cos ones have been in the wash a fair few times and no fading. They stretch out at the waist though, so you might need to size down.

No black ones in my local Cos, may just buy a navy pair & dye em.
Always find it hard to get the perfect fit, been trying APC, Dior & Levis recently & the best fit I've found are some cheap Topman tings, can't really complain for 25 quid.

Where's the cheapest place now for Edwin Ed-55 Rainbow selvedge?

to go against the grain here, i really like acnes (max cash). mine have started to fade a little, which shows even more now they've been washed, but they look great. they're still jet black in the non faded spots.
plus, if you want them to bet all black again, just wash them with some dylon
i do want a pair of those COS ones though, but never see any black pairs

I got some of the Max Stay Cash a while ago, and they're still as black as the day I got them. Been in the wash a few times, and no fading.

Just got two new pairs of raw denim, Sugar Canes and Kojima, they're both sanforized. In the past I've always pre-soaked my jeans before wearing regardless of them being sanforized or non sanforized, just to get rid of any *slight* shrink that may still be left, and to reduce denim bleed. Does everyone else do the same or does it really set the fade process back months?

Only time i soaked sanforized was when they hadn't had their wash in the factory due to time restraints. No need in your case mate, just wear them. That being said if you want to it won't hurt them.

The main reason I was thinking of soaking them this time round is because they both need altering, so I was wondering if it'd be best to eliminate any potential minor shrink/shape change prior to having them shortened..

If it was me i would leave them half a inch longer to allow for that little bit of shrink when you wash them. The shrink you will get from sanforized with just a soak will be really minimal. As for setting the fade process back it won't make any difference with just a soak in the tub.

I've gone with a quick soak just to be on the safe side
