———————————————————————————-

Acne - fit true to size

APC New Standards -size down 2 or even 3 from true waist size

APC New Cures - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

April 77 - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

Dior raw 19s and 21s - have vanity sizing and are labelled as two sizes smaller than actual size

Edwin Nashvilles - size down 1" - quite a different fit to most jeans out there though (massive rise, loose at thigh and comparitively tapered at the leg).

Julian Red - fit small, so maybe true to size on raw and possibly size up on non raws

Nudies - size down 1 or 2

Raf by Raf - true

Ring - true

There was also a brand that gave raw denim to prisoners working the road sides in America somewhere and then sold them on..not sure what the prisoners got in return!

I think the first one was Denim Demon. They gave them to farmers and people who worked outdoors who'd be wearing the shit out of their jeans, took back the broken in pairs and reproduced the fade patterns and stains for subsequent releases.

The second one just sounds fucking nasty! Eek

Had a few holes and the crotch repaired by son of stag. They've done a decent job, but i'm a bit annoyed at the fact i've got two clearly visible square stitch shapes on the front of the jeans. Can i ask them to do the stitching around the holes and make it more discreet, or is that standard?

usually you just put the patch over the hole and do a crazy zig zag sorta stitch (which it looks like you have got) and then ya just leave the edges of the patch loose where the zigzag doesn't go over it i.e miss the outline stitch
the zigzag is more than enough to hold it

whats the inside look like? could just unstitch the square and cut the size of the patches down?

There are ways around it showing, I you select the right setting on the sewing machine… ie you want the stitching to go straight back in on the outside, then across underneath, repeat, if that makes any kind of sense, I'm no expert on stitching names.

Looks like patch instead of machine darned.

Cheers for the input gents. Yeah it looks like they've done the zig zig stitch and then a patch to reinforce it. I guess i'll take them in and see if the patch is really essential, as i rekon it looks well daft with two patches on the front Cry

Doesn't the zig zag stitch hold the patch in place though? If so then surely you can just unpick the stitching that you don't want to be visible?

Am after some slim light washed jeans for summer, around same fit as Apc PS, what are my options? Don't mind paying up to 250 ish,

just don't want to end up paying a shed load for acne or nudie (who do have some decent washes atm, just not fussed on the pocket stitching and quality is a bit iffy) would consider them if they're on sale anywhere though

After a wash around the same as these Saint Laurent, just without the distressing, maybe a bit lighter

That's cool, may see if the wife's sewing machine can handle that sort of work.

Popped into Rivet and Hide yesterday with Spitfire and another mate, both copped some great jeans (UES and 3sixteen).

The shop is well worth a visit, some awesome stock and obviously just nice to have a good look at all of the gear in the flesh.

Anyone who squats and has issues with jeans not having enough room in the thigh along with a decent taper should check out the UES 400t, probably my next pair. Spitfires are pretty much perfect for that reason.

Nice to meet Danny and Junior, good luck with the store guys.

PBJ are great but the stitch length they use is really large and makes them look a bit like True Religions…

PBJ left, ONI on the right:

It's petty but when you're talking £200+ it brings it down to really minor differences.
Also, not my pics.
