Official thread sponsor: The Denim Doctor. First aid for your old denim.

———————————————————————————-

Acne - fit true to size

APC New Standards -size down 2 or even 3 from true waist size

APC New Cures - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

April 77 - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

Dior raw 19s and 21s - have vanity sizing and are labelled as two sizes smaller than actual size

Edwin Nashvilles - size down 1" - quite a different fit to most jeans out there though (massive rise, loose at thigh and comparitively tapered at the leg).

Julian Red - fit small, so maybe true to size on raw and possibly size up on non raws

Nudies - size down 1 or 2

Raf by Raf - true

Ring - true

The shop is well worth a visit, some awesome stock and obviously just nice to have a good look at all of the gear in the flesh.

Anyone who squats and has issues with jeans not having enough room in the thigh along with a decent taper should check out the UES 400t, probably my next pair. Spitfires are pretty much perfect for that reason.

Nice to meet Danny and Junior, good luck with the store guys.

Thanks for the visit, Ruben, and giving such good advice to your mates!. Glad you liked the store and the brands we carry.
I am in Japan right now checking out some of the cool shit UES, Pure Blue Japan, Iron Heart, The Flat Head and Mister freedom are bringing out from late summer onwards. I'm not a prolific newsletter writer but I send them out when anything new hits the store.

Has anyone any experience of PRPS Baracudas? Any good? What's the sizing like?

Until we are a bigger crew we decided on 1200-1900 weekdays to get all the online business out of the way in the morning. We may review this later on but if ever you want to visit earlier just drop me a line and we'll acccomodate you or anyone else for that matter danny@rivetandhide.com

DenimDoctor's just quoted me £50 (+£5 return postage) for a crotch repair and new pockets. Seems a bit steep but just went with it seeing as he's already got them and I was just sorting payment over the phone

I even sent him denim to use in the repair so it's not like materials are costing him much…

Any recommendations for black denim like this with a hem that will sit on AF1s (and similar) like this. Slim, but not skinny

Yes i've got them. Really nice neppy denim and good tapered fit that accommodates squatting. Definitely different to your average jeans, iv'e been told they look like joggers by one person
