———————————————————————————-

Acne - fit true to size

APC New Standards -size down 2 or even 3 from true waist size

APC New Cures - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

April 77 - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

Dior raw 19s and 21s - have vanity sizing and are labelled as two sizes smaller than actual size

Edwin Nashvilles - size down 1" - quite a different fit to most jeans out there though (massive rise, loose at thigh and comparitively tapered at the leg).

Julian Red - fit small, so maybe true to size on raw and possibly size up on non raws

Nudies - size down 1 or 2

Raf by Raf - true

Ring - true

I've got a pair of the new SEXIH 633S on the way, roomier top block with a taper. Got high hopes for them. 21oz again which is my favourite denim. Fingers crossed I've got the sizing right.

I love my 555 but if I put on a few lbs of timber over the winter I won't be getting into them.

Nice one, cheers mate.

I've went for the 634Ns (17oz) and they're tight as on the waist and thighs. Been told by quite a few they will stretch out nicely so will need to just be patient i suppose.

Heard nothing but good words about Tellason denim. Next denim for sure.

Just found a few post wash pics, quartz and red selvage ED39s, both first wash. Was wearing the quartz pretty much daily for 6 months, selvages occasional weekends over 3 years. No idea how some on here get such epic fades Sad

Edwins are the worst for fades bruv. If you want epics it has to be apc.
Had edwins for ten years that dont lose any blue. Great if you like that new jeans look, but bad if you like sick building site labourer fadez.

Depends what you do in them too. If you sit around watching TV or browsing fuk for 3 years you won't be getting epic fadez regardless of brand. I think people tend to be scared of washing their jeans because they are afraid of not getting fadez so they tend to be careful with them. Wear them for everything and then wash when dirty. No way I could go 3 years without washing mine. They would be disgusting.

Keep wearing them, you'll see the fades start to come through faster after a wash.

I don't really wash mine but a soak for a couple of hours gets rid of all the muck

Fair point, the ones getting decent(ish) fades I wore hard and didn't care what I did in them hence first wash after 6 months. Wore the raws for 'best' hence very little wear, zero hard use and ages before first wash (did get regular airings though).

Think I'll hammer the raws when weather changes and see what that does.

APC are all pretty slim in the thigh. I would look at Lee 101 personally if your ok with a zip fly.

Just keep your eyes peeled on ebay - 'Levis LVC' & 'Levis Vintage' - there's always loads cropping up on ebay.

You'd never get fadez on a Quartz denim, that's a fairly lightweight budget fabric (even has a bizarre shiney coating).
As for the selvedge "occasional weekends" is your problem. 6 months constant wear on red selvedge and you should see results.

Most 101s being stocked in straighter fits seem to be zip fly for some reason. Nudie Average Joe are quite roomy in the thigh and have an opening of just over 8" if thats what you're looking for Zappa.

The LVCs posted above would be great value if you find the right fit (i think 54s are more straight fitting but may be wrong).

I think Lee 101 are hugely under rated on here. Just find them too regular a fit. The Zip fly are 101Z(ip)
