———————————————————————————-

Acne - fit true to size

APC New Standards -size down 2 or even 3 from true waist size

APC New Cures - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

April 77 - size down 1 or 2 from true waist size

Dior raw 19s and 21s - have vanity sizing and are labelled as two sizes smaller than actual size

Edwin Nashvilles - size down 1" - quite a different fit to most jeans out there though (massive rise, loose at thigh and comparitively tapered at the leg).

Julian Red - fit small, so maybe true to size on raw and possibly size up on non raws

Nudies - size down 1 or 2

Raf by Raf - true

Ring - true

Nope. Hem is 6.5. I've got both and they don't work together.

What hem size / jeans would you recommend ?

jord, how did that shitty branding get on after you removed it? did it leave no mark after a couple of wears/washes?
i removed it on a pair, but i didnt like MII, so i never wore them.

so I've gone from having svelte skinny-jean-friendly distance runner chung legs to thick(er) andymakesglasses thighs over the past year or so since starting to squat and deadlift more regularly Sad

can anyone recommend some good heavyweight Japanese denim with a roomier top block? – ideally something similar to Samurai 710s or Iron Heart 555s cut but with slightly more room in the thigh

IH 633s Self Edge exclusive mate. 21oz, best cut ever for me.

Or there is a 777 on the way but could be a while. Even more taper.

Mine need a few more inches taken off the inseam (I was over cautious, didn't want to lose too much taper)

around 7.5 is perfect whilst not looking too baggy, assuming it's a relatively slim jean you're after.

Cheers – those 633s look ideal. Are the SE measurements accurate for your pair?

I'm between sizes so not sure which ones to go for (they have regular version in 30 but not 31
And left hand twill version in 31 but not 30).

I'd stick with the 21oz. That 20oz lht is a slightly different cut with less taper, they updated it for these newer ones.

Yeah the measurements were reliable (check the 'how we measure' link as it differs from IH's method)

I went true (32") and they are spot on. Could have got into the 31 and with the 21oz having a lot of give they'd have been ok but I want to be able to potentially put a few lbs on and not worry about washing and them being too tight.

My size 32 555 are just wearable but too tight for my liking.

If you think a 31 is what you need the restock should be in roughly 2 months.

Help needed, was thinking of purchasing a pair of Edwin Ed55's, how do these fit around the waist? (I am a size 30) TTS or size up or down? Same question for Nudie Grim Tim's (not sure which one out of the two to go for yet)

Got a pair of Hedi Diors which don't fit me anymore, could a tailor add some fabric in the waistband and put 2 or 3 inches extra on the waist ?

There's no way they could add 2/3 inches without fucking up the fit etc, just sell them and buy another pair of jeans.

sorry, only just seen this. when i first unpicked it, you could see all the stitch holes, but i just used some water on the pocket and 'massaged' it so the fibers moved, which made it barely noticeable, then after a few wears you couldnt tell at all. i've only washed them once^
